Welcome to “Theodora”, this regal and majestic bow, originates from the stable of the well known rocking horse maker “Margaret Spencer”. Only five hundred horses of this particular model were made, Theodora was manufactured in early 1970 and is number 241.
She carries her issue number and signature under her tummy, which was the norm for these rocking horses. Full restoration has been carried out, she has her original wooden bow and glass eyes. Paintwork has been reproduced in a traditional Victorian style, with complimenting antique wash. She carries dark tan handmade leather bridle with nickel fulmer bit, tan leather saddle with rich deep burgundy / black leather seat. Saddle cloth is in a deep burgundy melton, with dark tan leather trim.
Her horse hair mane and tail are a lovely mix of silver grey, black / brown giving her a very subtle and elegant finish! This is a unique horse, of which not many are seen today, and would make a fantastic addition for the vintage collector, interior feature, birthday, christening or very special gift for Christmas time!!!
